For as long as I can remember, I’ve been madly interested in a million different things at once. If I’m truly honest with myself, I wasn’t half bad at most of my experiments without diving deep into each one. This has always been fun, however, it makes me reject being put in any kind of box. Writing this now, I itch a little at the thought of having to be one thing. But don’t take me so literally, I’m highly aware of the multidimensionality we as human beings possess. The being part is what occasionally trips me up, I’m a doer. Doing seems like being but it isn’t, in a way it’s a distraction. Or at least that’s how I’ve been using it.
I’ll explain. I’ve previously, up until this very moment, have distracted myself from making real progress for fear of being judged in a capacity for which I would not be able to defend myself. But in “protecting myself,” I’ve stifled my growth. Now, I choose to water and nurture myself in a beneficial way, that may not always look or feel so good but will ultimately allow me to build on my strengths little by little.
So now that you’ve gotten this far it’s only fair that I thank you. Thank you! For being remotely interested in what I have to say. For sticking all the way through this post, and thank you in advance for returning for more. While I find the love in this world, I need to stay accountable. Accountability doesn’t work unless I set clear goals and expectations.
Here’s what you can expect from me:
Weekly Updates – I’ll take you on my South Florida food explorations with Local Now, sprinkling in some behind the scenes snips, and the brilliant stories of some of the Chefs I’ve met along the way. Watch the videos for yourself here!
Saucy Cocktails – I’ve been bartending for over 5 years and crafting cocktails is my jam! I’ll provide recipes to make you look like a pro. Actually, be sure to sign up for your own copy of my e-bar book Open Bar: Slaying Home Bartending
- Growth & Evolution- If you’re not growing, you’re dying. We’re constantly evolving and that means more than just crystals and sage, things get ugly but together we can figure it out.
I hope you can find enough comfort here to share your voices of encouragement and perspective with honesty and grace. Remembering that everyone’s journey is different and there may be things here you don’t care for but you may also find surprise by way of the things that resonate with your spirit. This journey is about you just as much as it is about me.
-With my deepest love.
